You are probably wondering where we go this great idea from.

How often have you been carrying a few things and wished that there was a way to strap them together to make it easier to carry.

Instead of having both hands full wouldn’t it be great if you could attach a laptop to your carry case. Many suitcases are easy to pull but have no facility to attach a laptop bag.

Many people end up pulling the bag with one finger on the laptop handle – or even worse, just resting it on the bag.

This is the idea that brought us the CoolClasp in the first place. Simple and easy to use and done take up much space in your bag.

Use a coolclasp to hold your bedroll together easily. Coolclasps make superb extra clips on the outside of your backpack. Suspend your backpack from above your bed in a hostel. (not above your head, silly).

I have used the CoolClasp to strap my sleeping bag to my day pack when I had a quick trip up the mountains where I didn’t wanted to carry too much.

The CoolClasp is just the strap for when you are backpacking or trekking since you will always have that extra bit. Like wet shoes that you don’t want inside you backpack etc etc.

When backpack straps break, coolclasps are near to hand as it is great strap that you can use to repair the broken backpack strap. Each clasp can hold up to 70 Kilograms and a standard CoolClasp is about 60cm long.

Since the UK is now nearly under a blanket of snow and the ski and snowboarding, you need something light and small that you take with you on you travels.

The CoolClasp is just the thing to hang your skis up easily when you’re walking back in the snow, wrap your clasp around the skis, click into position, and carry them over your shoulder using the strap.

Hang your snowboard or skis up using one or two CoolClasps. Hanging it up sideways using the front binding gives plenty of space for it to dry. A CoolClasp makes a most convenient short term fix for a broken or misplaced leash.

The CoolClasp weights only 40g and is very easy to pack up in your day pack or pocket. And the CoolClasp is easy and quick to use a ski carrier strap for when you are hiking.

The thing about Coolclasps that amazes me is that there is always some new nuance to using them.

Our ISP got one the other day and he tells me that he salvaged an old baby high chair with it, clipping the bits together so that the chair still works. It sounds dodgey and I told him that but we agreed it’s a lot better than the gaffer tape he had on there before.

I did something similar last month when my two year old managed to pull one of the wooden bits out of our banister upstairs. Its old and Victorian and replacing the whole thing would cost a fortune. So ta-da – one coolclasp clipped it to the ones either side and kept it intact and safe until I could find the time to reglue the broken bits.

And so it goes on. Everyone I know with young kids always has one million things hanging from their prams and this is perfect space for a coolclasp. My two year-olds new scooter is clipped happily to the buggy and no longer is it a mission to get him, his buggy, his scooter, nappy bag, coat, etc to the park.
